Week 2
Add at least 5 blogs to your RSS reader that are relevent to your career interests. Post them here.
Week 3
- Upload your profile to Linkedin (www.linkedin.com) and add contacts according to the following posts:

- Pick out one paper from here: http://www.zephoria.org/thoughts/archives/2006/08/19/research_on_soc.html Read it, and summarize, for yourself, the point of the paper. Be prepared to talk about one or two interesting points and something you disagreed with. A handful of people will be called in class to discuss.
Week 4
Contact at least 3 bloggers that you read, introduce yourself, explain your class, and ask them for some tips on starting a blog as a student and recommended readings. Post your findings for the class here: BloggingTips
Week 5
Read the tips provided by bloggers: BloggingTips
Create a Blogspot blog at www.blogger.com. Include a creative, but professional, title, as well as an about me section, even if it does not have your name.
You are required to do at least three posts over the next two weeks.
1st Post: (2-3 Paragraphs) On one of the following topics:
- Things that you have learned or that have surprised you about blogging...something positive
- Your apprehentions about blogging
- Your general career path and where you'd like to go in 1, 5, and 10 years.
2nd Post: (At least one paragraph)
- Link to a blogger and quote something that they wrote that you found interesting.
3rd Post: Link to a fellow classmate and comment on something about one of their blog posts.
You are welcome to post more, but please keep the following in mind:
- Stay positive.
- Stay professional.
- Make sure your blogging does not violate any regulations set out by any jobs you might have.
Week 6
Write two (2) blog posts:
- One about your own personal experience, or that of your peer group, with digital music.
- One comment about any of the readers or another blog post you find about digital music.
Week 7
Write two (2) blog posts:
- About the idea of starting your own company... Could you do it? Any ideas? Your perspective on entrepreneurship in Fordham and NYC.
- Free post... your topic.
